Origins and Horizon
The Nestlé Art Collection
3 June to 2 October 2016
Established just over half a century ago at the instigation of Jean Tschumi, the inspired architect of the multinational corporation’s global headquarters in Vevey, the Nestlé Art Collection is one of the principal cultural treasures of the region. International in scope, it is divided between the company’s head office and the Musée Jenisch Vevey. It brings together the works of major artists of the 20th century, including Alighiero Boetti, Sol LeWitt, Annette Messager and Pablo Picasso, while devoting plentiful space to Swiss art, from Ferdinand Hodler to Fischli & Weiss by way of Jean Tinguely and Jean-Luc Manz.
Staged to mark 150 years since the foundation of Nestlé, the exhibition lifts the veil on this ensemble and offers an opportunity to view the works in situ, during guided tours organised specially for the occasion.
