Located at the Musée Jenisch Vevey since 1989, the mission of the Cabinet cantonal des estampes is to preserve, study, defend and exhibit the medium of the print in all its forms. With more than 40,000 works from the Renaissance to the present day, it brings together three public collections and three collections deposited by two foundations and an association which, through their generosity and trust, contribute to the promotion of printed art in the Canton of Vaud:
In addition to the Cantonal Print Cabinet, the Jenisch Museum Vevey hosts three deposited collections:
The print collection of the Werner Coninx Foundation
The woodcut collection of the Alice Bailly Foundation
The print collection of the Jean and Suzanne Planque Foundation
In December 2016, a partnership agreement was established between the Canton of Vaud and the City of Vevey, in association with the partner institutions of the Cantonal Print Cabinet.
On November 16, 2017, the Print Pavilion was inaugurated. This new exhibition space, located at the heart of the museum and entirely dedicated to the art of printmaking, hosts three exhibitions each year that explore the richness of the world of prints.
